Maps for the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge - Chapman & Hall, 1844, two volumes bound as one, the first volume contains 112 maps [as called for], the second volume contains 106 maps [as called for] and includes maps of cities to include Amsterdam, Boston, Calcutta, Edinburgh etc, there is an index to the rear.

The atlas has been professionally re-bound and re-paired with the boards bound in half calf with marbled boards. The maps appear in good condition, but the contents and title page have suffered losses and have been re-laid on paper, there is some loss which affects the text.
