Order of the French Legion of Honour awarded to Jaques Vigas Esq Mr Jaques Vigas, formerly "Piccolet" was reputedly a leading member of the French Pacifist Movement in 1914 and following the assassination of his colleague, moved to England with the assistance of the French government. Mr Vigas had a varied career as musician, film actor, hotelier and antique dealer. A bronze bust of him by Paul R Montford was exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in 1921.
